Satellite Imagery Acquisition

Through a partnership with DigitalGlobe, Digital Data Services provides quality High Resolution Satellite Imagery solutions. These advanced satellites such as: IKONOS, GeoEye-1, Quickbird, WorldView-1, and WorldView-2 are equipped with the industry's most advanced image capturing hardware and software. The images produced can be used for a variety of GIS and non-GIS related projects.

GeoEye-1 - The GeoEye-1 satellite is equipped with the most advanced technology ever used in a commercial remote sensing system. The satellite collects images at 0.41-meter panchromatic (black & white) and 1.65-meter multispectral resolution.

IKONOS Satellite - GeoEye first made history with the IKONOS satellite launch almost ten years ago. Imagery from both sensors on the IKONOS satellite can be merged to create 1-meter color imagery (pan-sharpened).

QuickBird - QuickBird is a high resolution satellite owned and operated by DigitalGlobe. Using a state-of-the-art BGIS 2000 sensor, QuickBird collects image data to 0.61m pixel resolution degree of detail.

WorldView-1 - WorldView-1 is a sophisticated satellite owned by DigitalGlobal that was launched in 2007. This state-of-the-art satellite is a high-capacity, panchromatic imaging system that features half-meter resolution imagery.

WorldView-2 - Launched in 2009, DigitalGlobe's WorldView-2 satellite can capture 0.5m panchromatic (black & white)) mono and stereo images.

WorldView-3 - The first multi-payload, super-spectral, high-resolution commercial satellite. Operating at an expected altitude of 617 km, WorldView-3 provides 31 cm panchromatic resolution, 1.24 m multispectral resolution, and 3.7 m short-wave infrared resolution.
